It's a nice program, but I am looking for a tool that allows to program macros with a kind of programming language, not only by recording.

EZ Macro was not sophisticated enough for my purposes. I need to specify delay based on when a process completes, rather than a static time. Macro express has the functions I need, but they do not work well with Definiens Developer, the software I want to automate. Winbatch might work as well. Nothing else seems to fit the bill. Automation Anywhere & Workspace Macro had undesirable side effects.

This program is exactly what I needed. I tried other macro programs for Excel but this is the only one that worked. It's very easy to use and works great!

 Saved me a lot of time
EZ Macros was the second macro program I downloaded for evaluation, but the only one that worked. After I recorded a series of keystrokes, my macro worked perfectly, saving me a tremendous amount of time.
If I had to complain about one thing, it would be that speeding up the playback time was not very intuitive. I had to go into the macro and edit the seemingly random delay times between operations.
I plan to purchase the software for personal and business use.

EZ Macros
Got quick results - did what was taking me 5 hours in 5 mins. Fantastic. Had results the first time I used it.
I do sound engineering and specialise in building multitrack drum recordings from sample banks.
The process involves me building a song pattern by pattern with one sample loaded for each drum (ie kick, snare, tom, etc). Once this is done I load a dynamic range of each sample (anywhere up to 30 times) to make it lifelike.
Once the sample hits are spread out across the dynamics samples, the hard work begins and this is where EZ Macros has saved me.
Each sample loaded so far is from a close mic and I now have to add the room mics, overheads and any other bleed channels which results in up to 7 subsamples being loaded for each dynamic sample. CONFUSED YET?
Each of these samples I loaded had to be panned left or right, assigned to the appropriate mixer channel and had a few switches changed.
For those of you (most of you?) who are completely confused by my rambling, it equates to this:
Each sample I load takes two right click submenu adjustments, 3 slider adjustments and up to 2 swithes. Most of the sample drum kits I build have about 13 drums/cymbals.
So 13 x 15 (or more) I load for the dynamics samples i still have to do manually but that's pretty easy because I can clone each channel.
Loading the overheads and what not was where the time was really saved.
4 x 40, 3 x 40, 6 x 80 and whatever was left was done by EZ Macros. That's a crap load of clicking and mousing.
Copying all the individual settings from the dynamic samples to the overheads and everything wa sdone by EZ Macros also. That's a lot so scrolling and clicking also done for me - a few hours of cutting and pasting. Exciting stuff.
